How to Obtain Services
Thanks to the CDDO's single point of entry system, one phone call to (913) 826-2600 is the only one you'll need to make to apply for services. If you prefer email, send a note to: info@jocogov.org The Referral Coordinator will inform you about services for people with developmental disabilities and the service providers available in Johnson County.
We will take basic information from you in order to complete an intake form. A letter will be sent which includes a checklist of items that need to be obtained by the person seeking services. An intake meeting can be scheduled once all of the information is obtained by the applicant. After the intake meeting, we will start the process of determining your eligibility for developmental disabilities (DD) services in Kansas. Eligibility must be confirmed before we can discuss what services and funding are available. There is currently a state-wide waiting list for individuals requesting services. If a person is in crisis or imminent risk of crisis, procedures are in place to assess the situation and provide supports as appropriate.
The CDDO strives to make the application process friendly and easy for individuals and families who wish to access services. We try to make every available accommodation to help you through the application process. Let us know of any special requests or accommodations you need in order to complete the application process.
